Hey guys. I've been looking at shapeways.com, a 3d printing company based in the Netherlands. They take your 3d model and give you a price based on the amound of material (volume) your model would take to make it. So far I've just been messing around with geometric models and haven't ordered anything yet but it seems to me like it could be put to good use making parts for robots (and heres an example: http://www.shapeways.com/model/39116/jointed_hand_left_and_right.html ).

Peter,

What material where you using? How thick was the part?

I can't see that you'd usually have a problem with their part.

regards,
colin
